General questions
Not always. If the items sit in a garage, driveway or somewhere with safe access and you have arranged entry, the crew can work without you there. We send photos when the job is done and take payment afterward by e-transfer or card.
Junk removal is priced by the volume your load takes in the truck, plus surcharges for heavy or regulated materials such as concrete, dirt, tires and appliances with freon. You get the full price before any loading starts, and it does not change afterward.
Often the same day, especially inside Calgary when you call in the morning. The towns further out schedule best with a day or two of notice. We run seven days a week from 7am to 8pm, so weekends are normal working days for us.
Usable furniture, tools, housewares and building materials are sorted for donation or recycling first. What is left goes to a licensed transfer station. Tires, paint and freon appliances are routed to facilities that handle them properly, rather than to a general landfill.
Yes. A single couch, mattress or appliance is a normal booking, and there is a minimum charge that covers sending a truck and crew. Because pricing is by volume, adding a few more items to that same trip usually costs very little extra.
Yes. Estate cleanouts, hoarding cleanouts and full property clear-outs are a regular part of our work. Larger homes run one to three days, and we can stage the work across several visits if the household or the family needs more time.
Yes. Decks, sheds, fences, gazebos, garages, patios, pools and interior strip-outs are all work we take on, and the debris leaves with the same crew. Some structural work needs a city permit, which we flag during the on-site quote. Permits are pulled by the owner or the general contractor.
Yes, on larger jobs. Full cleanouts, multi-day hoarding work and demolition projects can be financed rather than paid in one go. Ask about it when you call, and we will explain the available options before you commit to a booking of any size.
E-transfer, credit card and Apple Pay are all accepted, and payment is due once the work is finished. You receive an invoice and a receipt on the spot, so there is nothing to chase up later and nothing to wait for in the post.
Calgary is our primary service area, and we also cover Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks, High River, Strathmore, Langdon and Crossfield, plus nearby hamlets. Jobs outside Calgary may carry an out-of-town charge, which is included in the quote you approve. Ask us to confirm your address when you call.
Junk Removal
No. You can leave it where it sits and we will carry it out, including from a basement or a second floor. If you do place items curbside or in the garage, the job takes less crew time and costs less.
Often the same day, if you call in the morning. We run from 7am to 8pm every day of the week, weekends included. Booking a day ahead is safer during spring melt and end-of-month moving weeks, when demand climbs. We will tell you honestly if the day is already full.
Furniture Removal
Yes. Sectionals, bed frames, wall units and treadmills often have to come apart to clear a stairwell or a doorway. Our crew brings tools and does that as part of the job. It can add time, and we tell you before we start.
Yes. Fridges, stoves, washers, dryers and dishwashers are all fine. Units containing freon carry a disposal surcharge because they need special handling. We tell you that amount during the quote. Nothing appears on the invoice that you did not approve.
Mattress & Box Spring Removal
Yes. A mattress and its box spring are two separate pieces, and each takes its own space in the truck. Because pricing is by volume, a full set still costs much less than two separate pickups on different days. Tell us the piece count when you call.
No. We take mattresses from any room, including finished basements and third-floor walk-ups. Placing it in the garage or at the curb does shorten the job, which lowers the price, but it is never a requirement. Just clear a path wide enough to carry it through.
Garage Cleanouts
Of course. We walk the garage with you first and agree what stays before anything moves. Most people mark a keep zone against one wall. Nothing leaves the property unless you have pointed at it and said yes. Anything you mark stays exactly where it is.
Yes. Tires carry a per-tire disposal fee at the transfer station, so they appear as a separate line on your quote. Rims are fine too. We tell you the tire count and the cost before we load anything. Rims left on the tires do not add cost.
Estate Cleanouts
It gets set aside for you, not loaded. Jewellery, documents, photographs, cash and anything that looks personal goes onto a table for the family to review. Our crew is briefed to stop and ask rather than make a judgment call.
Yes. Many families clear one or two rooms first, take time with the rest, and book the remainder later. We quote each stage as we go so there are no surprises, and there is no penalty for spreading the work out.
Hoarder Cleanouts
No. Our crew has done this work many times and is briefed not to comment or react. Hoarding is a recognised mental health condition, not a character flaw. We are there to clear a space, not to have an opinion about it.
Not necessarily, though most people want to be, at least at the start. If it is too much, a family member or support worker can direct the job instead. We check in before anything ambiguous gets loaded. Whoever directs the job needs authority to make those calls.
Shed Removal
No. We take the contents out as part of the job and load them with the structure. Emptying it yourself does reduce the volume we haul, which lowers the price, but it is never a requirement. Tell us roughly what is inside when you call.
Yes, if you want it gone. Breaking and hauling a slab is priced separately, because concrete is charged by weight and takes extra equipment. Many people leave the pad in place for a future deck or garage. Tell us at the quote stage either way.
Deck Removal
Yes, if you want them out. Digging and hauling concrete piles is quoted separately, because it takes extra time and concrete is charged by weight. Many people leave sound footings in place when a new deck is going in the same spot.
It should not. The ledger board where the deck attaches to the house is removed carefully, and the crew leaves the wall sound with the fasteners pulled. If no new deck is going back, ask your contractor about patching the siding.
Demolition Services
Permits are pulled by the property owner or the general contractor, not by us. What we do is flag during the on-site quote which parts of the job are likely to need one, so you can confirm requirements with the City of Calgary before the date.
Yes. Selective demolition is most of what we do. We agree the exact line in writing first, protect everything on the other side of it, and take out only what the scope names. Nothing beyond that gets touched. The written scope is what governs, not a verbal chat.
Carpet Cleaning
Small items, breakables and anything on the floor should be picked up before we arrive. The crew moves light furniture such as chairs, side tables and ottomans, then puts it back. Heavy pieces like beds, dressers and pianos are cleaned around, unless you have moved them first.
You can walk on it straight away in clean socks, but avoid outdoor shoes until it is fully dry. Keep pets off it for the same reason. Most rooms are dry within several hours, and faster with a fan running and a window open.
Still not sure? Just ask.
