Does a box spring count as a second item?
Yes. A mattress and its box spring are two separate pieces, and each takes its own space in the truck. Because pricing is by volume, a full set still costs much less than two separate pickups on different days. Tell us the piece count when you call.
Do I have to carry it out to the curb?
No. We take mattresses from any room, including finished basements and third-floor walk-ups. Placing it in the garage or at the curb does shorten the job, which lowers the price, but it is never a requirement. Just clear a path wide enough to carry it through.
Can you come the same day?
Usually, yes. We run 7am to 8pm every day of the week. Same-day mattress pickups are easiest to fit in when you call in the morning. The first few days of the month book up quickly with rental turnovers. Booking a day ahead avoids that squeeze.
Will you take a futon or a crib mattress?
Yes. Futons, crib mattresses, bunk mattresses, air beds with frames and folding guest beds are all accepted. Odd sizes do not change how we price the job, since the cost is based on the space they take up. Frames and bed rails can go in the same load.
What if the mattress is soaked?
We still take it. A wet mattress is heavier and cannot be recycled or donated, so it goes to a licensed transfer station. Let us know when booking so the crew brings wrapping and keeps water off your floors. Water damage does not change the base price.
